What is the investment for the programme?

Because we work with limited numbers, the programme is invite-only. After we’ve had a conversation and we both feel it’s the right fit, we’ll share the investment details with you. That way, you can move forward with clarity and confidence.

How long does the programme run for?

Our Functional Medicine programme runs for 16 weeks. We keep the timeline focused so you can stay accountable, make steady changes, and get the best possible results. We don’t offer programme holds or extensions, so it’s important to begin when you’re ready to commit.

Question 3

Can I cancel the programme and get a refund?

Accepted Answer

You may choose not to continue or complete the 16-week programme, but we will not be able to refund you. If you select the monthly payment option, the four (4) monthly payments are due and payable regardless of whether you complete the programme or not.

How do you book or change your coaching sessions?

Accepted Answer

Once you join, you’ll receive a link to book your one-on-one sessions with your coach and practitioner. Because your time matters, please reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment. That helps us keep care running smoothly for you and everyone else.

Will my medical aid cover the programme or any tests?

Accepted Answer

In most cases, no. South African medical aids usually do not cover prevention-focused programmes like ours. Some routine investigations, such as blood tests, may be covered, but preventative or genetic testing is typically not. If you’re unsure, check with your scheme before booking.

Can Functional Medicine replace your family doctor?

No — and it shouldn’t. Your doctor remains the person who oversees your medical care and prescriptions. Our role is to support you with root-cause, lifestyle-based care that can help prevent, treat, and in many cases reverse chronic, lifestyle-related conditions. When needed, we’ll work alongside your doctor.

How are supplement recommendations made?

Supplement recommendations are based on your individual assessment, symptoms, test results where available, and any current medication or health conditions. The team reviews suitability, dosing, and follow-up before anything is included in your plan.

How does Health Architects SA combine physiotherapy and functional medicine in one care plan?

Accepted Answer

Health Architects SA uses a hybrid model when clinically appropriate. Care may include functional medicine assessment, physiotherapy input, lifestyle guidance, testing, and supplement recommendations. The plan is based on the patient’s symptoms, history, and goals.
